According to data from the National Statistical Office, the number of elderly individuals aged 65 or older has reached approximately 9.5 million as of April. This number has rapidly increased from 8.23% in 2003 to 11.94% in 2013, and further to 18.43% as of April this year, highlighting the significant impact of aging on the population.

Dementia, being one of the most concerning diseases associated with aging, has become a pressing social issue. However, a definitive cure for dementia has not yet been found, placing a heavy financial burden on patients and their families, with the cost per dementia patient reaching 20.72 million won per year.

In response to this challenge, SK Incheon Petrochemical aims to prevent dementia through proactive management by providing support to Rowan's super brain program at the Seo-gu Senior Welfare Center in Incheon. Super Brain is a cognitive training program developed in collaboration with neurology specialists. Through a three-year clinical trial involving 152 participants, it has demonstrated its effectiveness in improving cognitive abilities and biomarkers.

Han Seung-hyun, CEO of Rowan, expressed gratitude for the support from SK Incheon Petrochemical and emphasized the commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the elderly in the western part of Incheon. The goal is to enhance the well-being and welfare of the elderly through active support and intervention programs.
